Who the heck is Mack Brown? For those of you in the sporting world, you will know that he is the Head Football Coach of the University of Texas Longhorns, the #1 ranked team in the country right now. Why would I want his autograph other than being a faithful Texas fan? Well, I married a Longhorn graduate. To a UT grad, having a signed photo of Mack Brown would be like a catholic getting a signed picture from the Pope.
I located an e-mail address for the UT Athletic department and sent Coach Brown an e-mail. I told him about my wife and the fact that she has to work with a number of dreaded Oklahoma Sooner fans at work.
4 Days later, I got an envelope in the mail from the UT Athletics department. In it was a set of UT trading cards that I gave to my son, an autographed picture of the 2008 Football team which I will hang on the wall, and a personalized autographed photo of Coach Brown made out to my wife.
