James Earl Jones (Born 1931 in Arkabutla, MS) is a Academy Award nominated and Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning American Film, Television, and Stage Actor. In a career that started in 1963, he has appeared in such films as “Dr. Strangelove”, “The Great White Hope”, “The Exorcist II”, “A Piece of the Action”, “Conan the Barbarian”, “Soul Man”, “Field of Dreams”, “The Sandlot”, “The Hunt for Red October”, “Judge Dredd”, “Patriot Games”, “The Lion King” (Voice), “Sneakers”, “Coming to America” and countless others. He was also the voice of Darth Vader in the 3 early “Star Wars” films. His TV credits include “Roots: The Next Generation”, “Frasier”, “LA Law”, “Law and Order”, “Picket Fences”, “3rd Rock from the Sun”, and many others. His also the booming voice that proclaims “THIS IS CNN” on the popular cable news network.
