Billy Joel (Born 1949 in New York, NY)
Nicknamed “The Piano Man”, Billy Joel is one of the biggest legends in music today. He is the #6 best-selling artist of all-time, has won 6 Grammy Awards, and has sold over 150 million albums worldwide. His first hit-single was “Piano Man” in 1973 and he has charted top-40 hits in every decade since. I have had the pleasure seeing him in concert twice, once in 1982 in Portland, Oregon and again in 1995 (with Elton John) in San Antonio, Tx. His concerts are great with over 2 hours of wall-to-wall hits. His hits include “Just the way you are”, “My Life”, “Pressure”, “Allentown”, “Big Shot”, “It’s still Rock and Roll to me”, “You may be right”, “Tell her about it”, “Uptown Girl”, “We didn’t start the fire”, “River of Dreams”, and countless other greats. He was formerly married to model/actress Christie Brinkley and they have a daughter, Alexa Ray Joel who is a up and coming singer in her own right.
