Hollywood Icon Dick Van Dyke (Born 1925 in West Plains, MO) continues to enjoy a successful career that has spanned over six decades. In a long movie career, he has starred in such films as “Mary Poppins”, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, “Bye Bye Birdie”, “Dick Tracy”, and the recent “Night at the museum”. He is best known for his self-titled television classic “The Dick Van Dyke Show” which ran in the early and mid 1960′s and which co-starred a then unknown Mary Tyler Moore as his onscreen wife. He also appeared for one season on “The Carol Burnett Show” and then had another long-running hit with his show “Diagnosis Murder”. He has been nominated for 9 Emmy Awards with 4 wins in his long career. He has also won a Tony Award for his role in “Bye Bye Birdie” on Broadway, and won a Grammy Award for the “Mary Poppins” soundtrack. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

During the Christmas break, I showed my 7 and 4 year old sons, the holiday special of the Dick Van Dyke show. They enjoyed it so much, they asked for more, including the episode where Rob dreams he’s going bald. I loved that show.

My 3 year old loves him in both Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins. I would love to get her an autogrpah. I notice a few addresses on the web, but wasn’t sure which one to write too. It looks like you have experience in this:) I would appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks.
