Vince Papale is a former NFL football player who played for the Philadelphia Eagles for 3 seasons starting in 1976. A then, 30yr old bartender and part-time teacher, he tried out for the team despite having only played 1 year of varsity football in High School years earlier. He made the Eagles and quickly became a fan favorite. His inspirational story was told in the 2006 hit Disney movie “Invincible” with actor Mark Wahlberg portraying Vince. I contacted him via-email and he was nice enough to send this photo for me, but also an identical photo made out to my young son who has seen the movie about 100 times.
