Emmy Award winning comic and actor Don Rickles (Born 1926 in Queens, NY) is a true legend in the world of stand-up comedy. Nicknamed “Mr. Warmth”, he is the world’s foremost Insult comic. In his 50+ years in Hollywood, he has also became a noted actor in such films as “Run Silent, Run Deep”, “Kelly’s Heroes”, “Innocent Blood”, “Casino”, and the “Toy Story” (Mr. Potato Head) series of animated films. He was a frequent guest actor on many of the popular TV shows of the 60′s and 70′s including “The Andy Griffith Show”, “Get Smart”, “The Munsters”, “Gilligans Island”, “Laugh-in”, and many others. He got his start in stand-up comedy when he insulted Frank Sinatra during a show. Frank Sinatra was so impressed with the unknown comic that he “pulled some strings” and Don Rickles went on to frequently perform at the most popular Casino’s in Las Vegas and was a frequent opening act for the famed “Rat Pack”. He was one of the most frequent guests on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson”. He says that his best-friend in the world is fellow comedian/actor Bob Newhart. At 82 years of age, Don Rickles continues to tour and makes frequent appearances in Las Vegas.

He’s still pretty sharp from any recent appearance I’ve seen him in, but he relies a bit heavily on calling people “hockey pucks”.
