
Florida State University Head Football Coach Bobby Bowden is the 2nd winningest coach in Division-1 college football history. The Head Coach at FSU for the last 33 seasons, he has a career coaching mark of 373-119-4 with two National Championships while at Florida State. Prior to FSU, he served as Head Coach at Samford University and the University of West Virginia. All told, with his assistant and Head Coaching experience, he has been a football coach for the past 54 years. He is second all-time in bowl victories and at one point he led FSU to a record 14 consecutive 10+ win seasons. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
**Update** Dec 1, 2009 – Coach Bowden announced his retirement from coaching. He finishes as the 2nd winningest coach in Division 1 History, behind only Joe Paterno of Penn State.
