How to obtain autographs via email

A few of the people that have actually seen my growing autograph collection in person have remarked that it must have cost an arm and a leg for postage to send out so many autograph requests with self-addressed stamped return envelopes included in each outgoing letter.

As of right now, I have gotten about 75 Celebrity autographs since I started collecting last October. About half of the autographs came solely as a result of emails that I sent to the Celebrity. Obviously, these email successes did not cost me a cent in postage.

How do you find email addresses for the celebrities that do send out autographs? It’s very simple.

GOOGLE them.

I’ll show you how… Open up a new window and Google….”Governor of (choose State)”. In MOST cases, the website to the Governors Office will be the first or second hit on GOOGLE. On most all Governor’s websites you will see a CONTACT or an EMAIL link. You click on that link, send them an email, and you are done.

Most all Politicians, National and Worldwide, have similar websites. Some of the foreign ones do not have English language sites so good luck finding the email link…..(look for the envelope symbol)

The same is true with many Hollywood Celebrities. Many have their own websites. Some of them have similar links to email them or leave them a message. Many of them probably get buried in emails and you will never hear a word from them, but others will send you a picture. Some will even email you back. You must be sincere in your email. They have heard every story and every line in the book and can tell BS when they read it. If you are sincere, tell them what you like or admire about their work, and can sincerely convey that you are a fan and not just someone looking to get autographs to turn around and sell on EBAY, then you have a good chance at getting an autograph. Many times, I don’t even ask for an autograph. I just send them a sincere email and have been lucky to get quite a few responses so far.

As for a politician that you don’t know, be honest with them. I let them know that I am an amateur collector, that I am trying to collect autographs from a number of national and world leaders, and that the autographs are just for my private use, and that is it. If you are honest, most people will be more than happy to send you something.

So, if you want an autograph from someone, just by sending an email, it is as simple as starting with GOOGLE.
