George Clooney (Born 1961 in Lexington, KY) is an Academy Award and Golden-Globe Award winning Actor, Director, Producer, and Screenwriter. He started in television in the early 80′s with co-starring roles on the comedy series “E/R”, “The Facts of Life”, and “Roseanne” before hitting stardom as one of the stars of the hit Drama Series “ER”. Yes, he starred in two different series titled “ER”. His role on the drama “ER” launched him into movies where he has starred in such hits as “From Dusk Till Dawn”, “Batman and Robin”, “Three Kings”, “The Perfect Storm”, “O’ Brother Where Art Thou?”, “Michael Clayton”, “Syriana”, “Ocean’s 11″, “Ocean’s 12″, “Ocean’s 13″, “Burn after Reading”, “Out of Sight”, “Intolerable Cruelty” “Men who stare at Goats”, “Up in the Air”, “The Fantastic Mr. Fox”, and many others. To date, he has directed three films, “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, “Good Night and Good Luck”, and “Leatherheads”, all three in which he co-starred. He won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in “Syriana” in 2006. He has won Golden Globe Awards for his roles in “Syriana” and “O’ Brother Where Art Thou?” and has won two Emmy Awards for his work on the drama “ER”.
