Tina Fey (Born 1970 in Upper Darby, PA) is a Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning Actress, Producer, Comedian, and Writer. She gained fame as the head writer and as a performer on Saturday Night Live before going on to produce her own TV series “30 Rock”. Due to “30 Rock” and “SNL”, Tina Fey was gaining in notoriety but it was the choice of Sarah Palin as the Vice-Presidential running mate by Senator John McCain in the 2008 Presidential Election that skyrocketed Tina Fey into being one of the most recognized women in the world. Her impressions of Palin in a number of “SNL” skits and her uncanny resemblance to the Alaska Governor, gave the show it’s highest ratings in decades. Her skits as Palin became the most popular downloads on YOU TUBE and other video sites. The skits were particularly effective in that Fey merely repeated many of the same rambles, word for word, that had made Governor Palin a source of much media scrutiny and embarrassment. Tina Fey has won 6 Emmy Awards and 3 Golden Globe Awards during her career, including an Emmy in 2009 for her impersonations of Sarah Palin on “SNL”. Her film roles include parts in “Mean Girls” (which she also wrote),”Baby Mama”, “The Invention of Lying”, and “Date Night”.
