Jon Voight (Born 1938 in Yonkers, NY) is an Academy-Award winning American Actor. He rose to fame with his role in the film “Midnight Cowboy” opposite Dustin Hoffman, a film which won the Academy Award for Best Film of 1969. He then went to roles in films such as “Deliverance”, “Catch-22″, “The Champ”, “Runaway Train”, “Heat”, “Mission Impossible”, “The Rainmaker”, “Enemy of the State”, “Pearl Harbor”, “Holes”, “Zoolander”, “Transformers” “National Treasure”, “National Treasure 2″, and many others. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the 1978 Film “Coming Home” in which he starred with Jane Fonda and Bruce Dern. He has been nominated for a total of 4 Academy Awards, 2 Emmy Awards, and has a total of 9 Golden Globe Awards with 3 wins. He is the father of actress Angelina Jolie.
