
Bill Cosby (Born 1937 in Philadelphia, PA) is an American Actor, Author, Producer, Comedian, and Activist. He has starred on numerous TV series over his long career including, “I SPY”, “The Electric Company”, “Fat Albert” (voice), “The Cosby Show”, “The Cosby Mysteries”, and “Cosby”. His television work has earned him 2 Golden Globe Awards and 5 Emmy Awards. He has appeared in a number of theatrical films and was one of the most prominent stand-up comedians of the 1960′s and 1970′s. He was the first African-American to win an Emmy Award. (I-SPY) His character “Cliff Huxtable” was named the greatest Dad in Television History by TV Guide magazine. Won Grammy Awards for best comedy album for 6 straight years starting in 1965. None of his Emmy Award wins were for his role on the long-running “The Cosby Show” in that he never submitted his name for consideration for the award each year.
