Ian McShane (Born 1942 in Blackburn, England) is a Golden Globe Award winning English actor. He is best known to US audiences for his starring role as “Al Swearengen” on the hit HBO series “Deadwood”. His film career includes roles in the films “Battle of Britain”, “The Fifth Musketeer”, “Sexy Beast”, “Agent Cody Banks”, “We are Marshall”, “Shrek the Third” (voice), “Kung Fu Panda” (voice), “The Golden Compass” (voice), “Hot Rod”, “Coraline” (voice), “Death Race”, and many others. His extensive television career includes roles on “Roots”, “Dallas”, “Lovejoy”, “War and Remembrance”, “Bare Essence”, “Marco Polo”, “Miami Vice”, his Golden Globe Award winning role on “Deadwood”, and the recent show “Kings”.
