Sally Field (Born 1946 in Pasadena, CA) is an American Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Emmy Award winning film and television actress. She has been a fixture in Hollywood since her breakout in 1965 on the TV show “Gidget”. She later starred in the hit show “The Flying Nun”, had a recurring role on “ER”, and is currently the star of the ABC Drama “Brothers and Sisters”. She has also appeared in many television movies and mini-series, including the critically acclaimed TV movie “Sybil”. Her extensive film career includes roles in “Smokey and the Bandit”, “The End”, “Hooper”, “Norma Rae”, “Backroads”, “Absence of Malice”, “Kiss me Goodbye”, “Places in the Heart”, “Murphy’s Romance”, “Steel Magnolias”, “Soapdish”, “Mrs Doubtfire”, “Forrest Gump”, “Where the Heart is”, “Say it isn’t so”, “Legally Blonde 2″, and countless others. Her Academy Award wins for were for Best Actress for “Norma Rae” in 1980, and Best Actress for “Places in the Heart” in 1985. All together she has been nominated for two Academy Awards (both Wins), Eight Emmy Awards (3 Wins), and Ten Golden Globe Awards (2 Wins).

I am completely 100% aware that we are all human but Sally Field is just absolutely amazing. I haven’t seen all of her movies but I’ve seen enough to know that she is incredibly talented and a true inspiration. My favourite film that she stars in is Not Without My Daughter. That is one of the most greatest and insightful movies of all time, and she brings it all to life by being apart of it.
