
Burt Reynolds (Born 1936 in Lansing, MI) is a Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning and Academy Award nominated American Actor and Director and Hollywood Icon. His extensive film career includes roles in “Deliverance”, “White Lightning”, “Gator”, “The Longest Yard”, “Smokey and the Bandit”, “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”, “Semi-Tough”, “Starting Over”, “Hooper”, “The End”, “Stroker Ace”, “Best Friends”, “Malone”, “Heat”, “The Cannonball Run”, “Sharky’s Machine”, “The man who loved women”, “City Heat”, “Striptease”, “The Dukes of Hazzard”, and his Oscar nominated role in “Boogie Nights” along with dozens of other films to his credit. He has an extensive background in Television, appearing in shows such as “Gunsmoke”, “Dan August”, “Out of this World”, “B.L. Stryker”, “Evening Shade”, and “My name is Earl” along with appearances on nearly 100 other tv series. He was a Football star at Florida State University and was on his way to an NFL career when a knee injury ended his football career. His directing credits include the films “Gator”, “Stick”, “Sharky’s Machine”, “The End”, and 34 episodes of his popular sitcom, “Evening Shade”. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame.

Burt Reynolds is a direct descendant of Christopher Reynolds, born in 1530.
He is the distant cousin of Debbie Reynolds, and Blinky the Clown, the longest tv clown host in the world!
