
Grace Slick ( Born 1939 in Evanston, IL) is an American Singer/Songwriter best known for her stints as lead singer for the 1960′s Psychedelic Rock group “Jefferson Airplane” and it’s later spin-off groups “Jefferson Starship” and “Starship”.
Her hits with Jefferson Airplane include the classic 60′s hits “Somebody to love” and “White Rabbit”. Her hits with “Jefferson Starship” include “Miracles”, “Count on Me”, “Jane”, “Find your way back”, “Be my Lady”, “No Way Out” and “Runaway”. Her hits with Starship included “We Built this City”, “Nothing’s gonna stop us now”, “It’s not over (Til it’s over)”, “It’s not enough”, and “Tomorrow doesn’t matter tonight”. She retired from the group in 1988 and was on hand in 1996 to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall-of-Fame as a member of Jefferson Airplane.

Great pics! Love the one with Joplin choking her. Who’d win if it were a REAL fight? They’d both be too drunk to get hurt, unless Slick took out her guns! She should’ve teamed up with Hunter S. Thompson–they’d have been perfect for each other.
