

Ed Nelson (Born 1928 in New Orleans, LA) is a noted American Character Actor who worked heavily on TV, in films, and on the Stage, primarily in the 1950′s-1980′s. He is best known for his starring role on the popular 60′s soap “Peyton Place” where he starred with then little-known actors Ryan O’Neal and Mia Farrow. His other Television credits include appearances on shows such as
“Bat Masterson”, “Maverick”, “Bonanza”, “Rawhide”, “Gunsmoke”, “The Twilight Zone”, “77 Sunset Strip”, “The Fugitive”, “Perry Mason”, “Cannon”, “The Mod Squad”, “Mission Impossible”,”Medical Center”, “Dallas”, “Charlie’s Angels”, “Lou Grant”, “Dynasty”, and over 100 other shows. His film work includes appearances in many classic “B” horror movies of the 1950′s aloing with roles in films such as “Runaway Jury”, “Police Academy 3″, “Airport 1975″, “Midway”, “Judgement at Nuremberg”, and many others.
