Billy Crudup (Born 1968 in Manhasset, NY) is a noted American Film actor. He has worked heavily in films since 1996 but it was his role as Guitar Legend Russell Hammond in the 2000 film “Almost Famous” that launched him to fame. He is currently starring as Dr. Manhattan in the Sci-Fi film “Watchmen”. His other film roles include starring roles in “Jesus Son”, “Big Fish”, “The Good Shepherd”, “Sleepers”, “Inventing the Abbotts”, “Mission Impossible 3″, “The Hi-Lo Country”, ‘Waking the Dead”, “Public Enemies”, and many others. He is also active on Broadway and has won a Tony Award for his role in the play “The Coast of Utopia”.
