David Hyde Pierce (Born 1959 in Saratoga Springs, NY) is, and will always be, Dr. Niles Crane on the long-running Hit Show “FRASIER”. The signature role of his career earned him a remarkable 11 Emmy Award nominations with 4 wins. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor Emmy’s every year from 1994-2004. The role also earned him 5 Golden Globe Award nominations. His portrayal of Niles Crane is considered one of the greatest “supporting” roles in Television History. He has also appeared in a number of films during his career including “Sleepless in Seattle”, “A Bugs Life” (voice), “Wolf”, “Nixon”, “Down with Love”, “Wet Hot American Summer”, “Isn’t she Great”, “Little Man Tate”, “The Fisher King”, and many others. His other television credits include “The Powers that Be”, “The Simpsons”, “Dream On”, “Caroline in the City” and others. He is also an accomplished stage actor and won the 2007 Best Actor Tony Award for the play “Curtains”.
