Barry Gibb (Born 1946 in Isle of Man, United Kingdom) is a Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, and producer, best known as a member of the super group “The Bee Gees”, a trio consisting of Barry and his brothers Robin and Maurice. The Bee Gees are members of the Rock and Roll Hall-of-Fame and have sold over 200 million records worldwide. The Bee Gees have won a total of 9 Grammy Awards in their long career. The brothers were born in England but spent much of their youth in Australia where they started their musical career. The brothers charted their first hit record in 1967 and over the years have recorded such classics as “Night Fever”, “Stayin Alive”, “Jive Talkin”, “Nights on Broadway”, “Tragedy”, “You should be Dancing”, “Fanny”, “Love so Right”, “How deep is your love?”, “More than a Woman”, “How do you mend a broken heart?”, “Alone”, “Lonely Days” and countless others. Maurice Gibb died in 2003 and the Bee Gees name has since been retired. Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb each tour separately now. Barry Gibb has had occasional successes as a solo artist over the years and had two popular duets with Barbara Streisand in the 1980′s, “Guilty” and “What kind of Fool”. I myself grew up with the music of the Bee Gees in the 1970′s and still consider myself a huge Disco Geek. I printed out this photo and mailed it to Barry on April 1, 2009 so it took just at a month get the photo back signed.
