Dudley Moore (Born 1935 in London, England)
The Great Dudley Moore (1935-2002) was an English Actor, Composer, Writer, Producer, and Classical Pianist. He is best known for his film career which included the hits “Bedazzled”, “Arthur”, “10″, “Foul Play”, “Micki and Maude”, “Arthur 2: On the Rocks”, “Unfaithfully Yours”, “Lovesick”, “Wholly Moses”, “Crazy People”, “Santa Claus: The Movie”, “Six Weeks”, “Like Father, Like Son”, and many others. He was a well known comedic talent in England, but it wasn’t until his scene-stealing appearance in the film “Foul Play” that US Audiences really came to appreciate his talent. You watch that scene in “Foul Play” in which he tries to seduce Goldie Hawn and I guarantee, you will smile every time you hear the Bee Gees song “Staying Alive” in the future. In his career, he was nominated for 5 Golden Globe Awards with 2 wins and was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the film “Arthur”. He was an accomplished pianist and composer and his music was featured in many of his films. He released 16 Albums of his original music over the course of his career. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame. This is the first autographed that I have purchased of a deceased entertainer. I intend to add a small number of such autographs to the collection when I happen to find reputable dealers with reasonable prices that are offering photos of particular stars that I have always liked.
Autograph #188 in Collection.
