
Olivia Newton-John (Born 1948 in Cambridge, England) is an Award Winning Australian Singer and Actress. She released her first album in 1971 and early in her career, was predominately a star in the field of Country Music. She won the CMA Awards Female Vocalist of the Year Award in 1974. She then crossed over into mainstream pop music and had tremendous success in a long career which included 12 Grammy Award nominations with 4 wins. Her musical credits include the hits “I Honestly Love you”, “Have you never been mellow?”, “Please Mr. Please”, “You’re the one that I want”, “A little more love”, “Xanadu”, “Let’s get Physical”, “Soul Kiss”, “Deeper than the Night”, “Suddenly”, “Magic”, “Make a move on me”, “Twist of Fate”, “Heart Attack”, and many others. Her acting career was launched when she starred opposite John Travolta in the film “Grease” in 1978. The role earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Her other film roles include the films “Xanadu”, “Two of a Kind”, and a number of made-for-TV films. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame. Although raised in Australia, she was born in England and lived there until the age of 5. To date, her US success includes 25 top-40 hits and five #1 hits on the Billboard Charts.
