
Donna Summer (Born 1948 in Boston, MA) is an Award Winning American Singer and Songwriter. In her long career, she has won a total of 5 Grammy Awards and managed to chart at least one top-40 single on the Billboard Music Charts every year from 1976-1984. She is the first female artist to have 4 #1 hits on the Billboard Charts within a 13-month period. She has sold over 130 Million records worldwide. Her musical styles have ranged from Rock, R&B, Gospel, Pop, to her very successful reign as the Queen of Disco in the mid to late 1970′s. Her many hits have included such classics as “Love to love you baby”, “I feel love”, “Bad Girls”, “Hot Stuff”, MacArthur Park”, “On the Radio”, “She works hard for the Money”, “Heaven Knows”, “Dim all the Lights”, “Enough is Enough”, “This time I know it’s for real”, “The Woman in me”, “Unconditional Love”, and many others. She continues to tour to this day. This success is #200 in the collection. This is a success based on a letter I wrote to Ms. Summer back in late November of 2008. It was well worth the wait.
