
Sir Elton John (Born 1947 in Pinner, England) is an Award Winning English Singer, Songwriter, and Composer, and one of the most successful artists in music history. To date, he has sold over 200 Million records worldwide in a career which started in the 1960′s in England. His extensive collection of awards includes 5 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Tony Award. To date, he has had 56 top-40 hits on the Billboard Charts including 9 songs that went to #1. In 1994 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
