Dennis Farina (Born 1944 in Chicago, Illinois) is a highly respected American Television and Film character actor. He is one of the few successful character actors that is frequently cast on both ends of the legal spectrum in that a large number of his roles have been as either a cop or a mobster. First hitting the screen in 1981, he has appeared in films such as “Thief”, “Manhunter”, “Midnight Run”, “Men of Respect”, “Another Stakeout”, “Little Big League”, “Get Shorty”, “Eddie”, “Saving Private Ryan”, “The Mod Squad”, “Reindeer Games”, “Snatch”, “Big Trouble”, “The Grand”, and countless others. His TV resume includes “Miami Vice”, “Remington Steele”, “China Beach”, “Hunter”, and starring roles in “Crime Story” and “Law and Order”. Prior to turning to acting, he was a Chicago Policeman.
