Carl Reiner (Born 1922 in The Bronx. NY) is a Emmy Award Winning Actor, Writer, Producer, and Director. In a Television career that began in 1948, he has gone on to appear in shows such as “Your show of shows”, “Burke’s Law”, “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, “Laugh-In”, “Frasier”, “Ally McBeal”, “Boston Legal”, “House”, “Mad about You”, and many others. He has acted in a number of theatrical films including “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Word”, “The Russians are coming the Russians are coming!”, “Oh God!”, “The End”, “The Jerk”, “Dead Men don’t wear plaid”, “Summer School”, “Oceans 11″, “Oceans 12″, and “Oceans 13″. He has directed a number of theatrical films including “The Jerk”, “Dead Men Don’t wear Plaid”, “The Man with Two Brains”, “Oh God!”, “All of Me”, “Summer School”, “Summer Rental”, “Fatal Instinct”, “That Old Feeling”, “Enter Laughing”, “The Comic”, and others. His writing credits include “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, “The Comic”, “Enter Laughing”, “Dead Men Don’t wear Plaid”, “The Man with Two Brains”, and others. He produced “The Dick Van Dyke” show and many others over the course of his career. He has been nominated for a total of 13 Emmy Awards for Acting and Writing and to date has 7 wins. He is the father of acclaimed Director/Actor Rob Reiner. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
