Nicole Kidman (Born 1967 in Honolulu, Hi) is an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winning Australian Actress. Born to Australian parents in Honolulu, the family moved back to Australia a few years after Nicole was born. Her first film to gain her prominence in the US was the 1989 film “Dead Calm”. Her many film roles since have included “Days of Thunder”, “Billy Bathgate”, “Far and Away”, “To Die For”, “Batman Forever”, “Eyes Wide Shut”, “Moulin Rouge”, “The Others”, “The Hours”, “Cold Mountain”, “Bewitched”, “The Stepford Wives”, “Nine”, “Australia”, “The Golden Compass”, and many others. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2003 for the film “The Hours”. She has won Golden Globe Awards for her roles in “Moulin Rouge” and “To Die For”. Formerly married to actor Tom Cruise, she is now married to Country Singer and fellow Aussie Keith Urban. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame.
